Own a P-40 Warhawk

Number AK823/1036 -- N7205A

We started building this P-40 in 2014 right after completing our P-40K model in 2013. However, in 2015 we started working on our SB2C-5 Helldiver and the P-40 got put on hold. As the P-40 project sits today, it’s about 35% done. We have the wings done, the vertical is complete, and systems have been assembled and put aside until we can finish the Helldiver.

The Curtiss P-40 is not known to be the best fighter of it’s day, but it is known to have paved the way to some of the best and held it’s ground in combat. The P-40 served throughout the war on every front with no less than 28 Allied nations. Curtiss-Wright’s project engineer behind the P-40 design and construction was Donovan R. Berlin. A total of 13,738 P-40s were build during WWII, which makes it the third most produced fighter. There was something about the P-40 that brought a lot of grit the war.
